A great lesson in diversity! My eyes are more open to viewing things with an open mind and seeing the big picture with a new perspective. Drew is right! We got to this point in time together and we will make it better together. — Viveca Wilson, Educator, Dallas Independent School District.

“Race” has been one of the most volatile subjects ever to excite nations. It has served as the basis for some of the most violent events in history. Yet for all the evil that has occurred as a result of someone’s belief, it serves as the basis for our coming together. In these words, I invite you to examine your own thoughts, beliefs, and values. After you read these experiences, I ask you to form your own opinions.

Thought provoking! I found myself challenged by this book to think outside the box. Drew does an excellent job in comparing the past to the present! I was fascinated to see how he removed race from the scenarios and allowed the reader’s personal experiences to paint the picture! It’s amazing how interchangeable our experiences can be. — Zelda McCain, Software Specialist, IBM.
